So, here we are. All contestants should sign up here. Simply post the name of your character below and they shall be entered. Applications will be processed on a first come first served basis, meaning that if you want to participate then you better get it in quick! There are 7 places in all, one being reserved for a special NPC character, whom shall be revealed to you all once the tournament's doors are open! So, without anymore delay, get applying now!
RULES FOR THE TOURNAMENT!
IC:
1. No Killing or your character will be disqualified.
2. No foreign objects, or protective clothing to be brought into the ring.
3. TKO's are in effect so if your character is beaten and can't get up, or can't move, then you'll lose the bout to a 10 count.
4. Ring out's are an automatic loss.
5. Forfeit by way of submission or otherwise is in effect.
6. No hitting in the groin or eyes.
OOC:
All the main in game rules still apply along with the above stipulations. All participants should post in the arrivals thread to begin with to show their character has actually shown up. All PL Gains will be given either at the end of the tournament for those that make it through to the final, or for those knocked out, as soon as that bout has ended and a concluding post has been made. Now, IC you're fighting for honor, bragging rights and a ton of cash and fame. But what are you fighting for OOC?
PRIZES!
1st Prize.
Our grand prize is nothing to be sneered at. Not only will you win yourself a 25% PL bonus to add on top of your PL gains, but you'll also win a Ki technique of your choice, canon or no, to be added to your character sheet as soon as it is verified by the staff. (To discuss the Ki technique, PM one of the staff with your idea and we'll get back to you)
2nd Prize.
Our runner up prize, though lacking in bonus PL, is still a lovely prize. Our runner up will win their character a brand spanking new Ki technique of their choice canon or no, doesn't matter, it shall be added to your technique list. (Again PM the staff with your idea to have it verified)
And for all of our participants, although we do not have prizes for you, the PL gained from participating is still a pretty sweet deal. Plus you'll even gain exposure and celebrity IC as the tournament is a globally publicized event, so you can RP the hell out of that as much as you want. Also, there will be a follow up story arc for you to enjoy and participate in almost as soon as the tournament is finished, so get your training, sparring, adventures in before then! You're definitely going to need it.
